Challenge
The biggest issue facing the Baker family was a totally outdated cabinetry system, which was not only falling apart at the seams, but simply didn’t have enough storage space. The family wanted to make sure that all cabinets met their growing storage requirements but also looked modern and fit with the environment. As well, all the counters were very badly scratched up, and needed replacing.
Solution
After much consultation, the Baker family and ourselves agreed upon a very warm and modern-looking cherry millwork cabinetry system, with top end hardware. We also looked at installing beautiful granite countertops to replace the worn out, scratched counters once in place. The layout or footprint of the kitchen remained the same, as everyone agreed that it was still a very functional space.
